MUSIC VIDEO: Even though this video barely features any animation, it deserves a slot on the Liquid blog as an example of the power of minimal animation. Just imagine if that green screened M&M splash was absent from The Chinese Stars‘ anti-sexy love song Left Brain. Right? Totally makes the whole video.

BLOG: V8 commissioned LA-based studio Buck to craft this very odd ad-within-an-ad. Though I must admit I’m surprised Aftershave Banana isn’t actually on the market, I wonder if it’s just really good advertising.

BLOG: A recent grad from Emile Cohl Ecole in Lyon, France, Mathias Lachal is taking leaps forward into new territory. With a graceful and frequently autobiographic approach to traditional animation, all of his work seems to have a painterly ease to it. Simply put… it’s refreshing. Enjoy Range ton Bazaar and more of Mathias at liquidtelevision.com.

BLOG: We’ve long been fans of Joseph Pierce. His hand drawn animation style and unfailing sense of awkward timing makes each of his short films both pleasurable and extremely uncomfortable to watch. Check out “Stand Up” and “A Family Portrait” at liquidtelevision.com.
